We’ve learnt a lot in the past few years from our existing dashboard and its use with our customers. As MOVUS continues to scale to larger customers with bigger FitMachine fleets, we thought it was the right time to roll out an update to the Customer Dashboard that will lay a strong foundation for future growth.
We went back to the drawing board and posed the question, “If we could start again, how would we architect a modern MachineCloud Dashboard?” We considered a number of factors, including:
- Speed for the end user
- Caching, especially useful in areas where there is a poor connection
- How to enable faster product development going forward
- Security
- Keeping the existing User Interface layout, ensuring a seamless transition for customers
A new, faster dashboard
Thanks to a number of architectural, under-the-hood updates, the new MachineCloud Dashboard has been built for speed. As part of this effort, intelligent data caching ensures asset metadata, graph data and more is stored within the browser, which is especially useful when using the application from remote sites. We have also consolidated all the device graphs into a single page by default, and consolidated multiple admin screens making management of your fleet easier.
New summary home page
The biggest new feature is our Summary home page, which displays information about your fleet at a glance. Organised into cards, this new summary home page is now live with summary cards on:
- Worst condition equipment
- Most recent alarms
- Highest vibrating equipment
- Highest temperature equipment
- Devices reporting (showing report times of your devices, allowing you to diagnose system issues earlier)
This is just the beginning; we’ll be adding many new cards in the future. If there is specific information you’re interested in, I’d love to hear from you! Please reach out via our support website.
Seamless transition
We entered this dashboard redesign with a goal to keep the layout and user interface as familiar as possible to our existing users. Although we’ve modernised much of the design, you should find that the features you’re used to are in the same place.
Redesigned emails
Although most of the dashboard will have a familiar layout, we’ve been hard at work updating our email designs to better respond to all types of email clients (such as Outlook and Gmail) and devices (such as Tablets and Smartphones). And we added some MOVUS design flavour while we were at it!
Try the new MachineCloud Dashboard
We’d love to hear what you think! Please Submit a request via the MOVUS Support centre with any feedback or suggestions.
Going forward, the current dashboard will no longer be available and you will be automatically redirected to the new MachineCloud Dashboard.
